West Ham in contact with SEVEN players as they step up transfer chase to replace Declan Rice
WEST HAM are waiting to hear back on several offers in their efforts to replace Declan Rice.
SunSport understands that the Hammers believe by having as many bids or approaches on the table at one time, that it will maximise their chances of landing one or two of those names.
West Ham are still waiting for their first arrival of the transfer window.
They have had a £37m plus £3m in add-ons bid for Conor Gallagher rejected by Chelsea.
The bid was made last week and they are considering a response.
A £25m bid for Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse has also been made and they have enquired about Manchester United’s Scott McTominay.

Manchester City young star Carlos Borges is also on their radar.
West Ham were preparing a second bid for Fulham’s Joao Palhinha after last week’s £45m attempt was dismissed, but the Portuguese international is now injured.
Palhinha, 26, suffered a dislocated shoulder in Fulham’s pre-season win over Brentford out in the States last weekend. West Ham will await scan results before making their next move.
Contact has previously been made with Ajax over Mexico’s Edson Alvarez, as well as Juventus’ Denis Zakaria.

There is a feeling that a lot of time was wasted getting Rice’s £105m move to Arsenal over the line, so need to act quickly in order to get their business done before their Prem opener at Bournemouth on August 12.
With Gallagher, it is believed Chelsea are open to selling the 23-year-old, despite the fact he is currently their most senior midfielder and has impressed in pre-season.
New Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino has overseen the likes of Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante and Ruben Loftus-Cheek leaving this summer.
And he wants Brighton's £100m-rated Moises Caicedo to fill one of those gaps.
Gallagher has two years left on his deal, and also is being monitored by Tottenham and Newcastle.
Meanwhile, Fulham are pushing to complete a deal for Callum Hudson-Odoi, 22, with a year remaining on his contract.
The player is keen, but a fee needs to be agreed.
