PARP FOR THE COURSE

Open fans in stitches at microphone catches Italian star Francesco Molinari’s embarrassing gaffe as he tees off

FRANCESCO MOLINARI hilariously kicked up a stink as opened up his second day at the 2023 Open Championship at Hoylake.

The Italian won The Open back in 2018 in a memorable performance.

But the 40-year-old hit the headlines this week for all the wrong reasons.

Molinari was caught by a course microphone FARTING during his opening tee shot.

He stepped up to the tee on the first hole and produced a swing that drove his ball down the fairway.

However, just as he made contact, he amazingly let rip.

The microphone caught the massive fart, and it left fans on social media in stitches.

“Let’s hope he didn’t have problems with his follow through,” tweeted one fan.

Another joked that he had “A little extra fire power off the tee” as a fellow viewer wrote:  “Put everything he had into it.”

Another tweeted: “Was the applause for the fart or the shot?”

While a fellow golf supporter wrote: “Some gusty winds over there in Hoylake.”

Molinari finished up day one two over par.

And after that frustrating opening, they carried over on to day two as he finished up his second round +4, leaving him at 6+.

That means that he missed the cut at Royal Liverpool.
