Cristiano Ronaldo’s hopes of trophies at Al Nassr take huge blow as they are BANNED from registering players
CRISTIANO RONALDO'S hopes of winning trophies have been dealt a blow after Al-Nassr were banned from registering players.
Fifa have sanctioned the Saudi Arabian club over a failed payment dating back to a 2018 transfer.
Al-Nassr signed Ahmed Musa from Leicester in a deal worth £15.4million plus £1.7m in performance-related bonuses.
Musa triggered £390,000 worth of add-ons between 2018-2020 but Al-Nassr have failed to pay up.
The case was even taken to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which ruled in Leicester's favour.
And now Fifa have intervened following Al-Nassr's refusal to pay the debt.

Fifa's ruling prevents Al-Nassr from registering new players and that means any new signings will not be able to play for the club.
The ban will only be lifted once Al-Nassr pay the £390,000 that is owed to Leicester.
Al-Nassr are one of the clubs backed by Saudi government cash, which allowed them to attract superstar Ronaldo, 38, when he quit Old Trafford last season.
They made a move for Hakim Ziyech earlier this month but ended up snubbing the Chelsea star after he failed a medical.

The Riyadh-based side are also reportedly interested in signing David de Gea following his release by Manchester United.
It is believed the goalkeeper has been offered a contract worth £250,000 a week.
