Salford ready to offer King Vuniyayawa new deal after impressive displays
SALFORD hope to extend their King’s reign by offering King Vuniyayawa a new deal.
The Fijian prop has impressed at the Red Devils this season enough for them to table terms for an extension.
And Vuniyayawa, 28, is believed to be settled on the other side of the Pennines after initially arriving in England at Leeds.
Boss Paul Rowley has placed keeping hold of the front rower at the top of his priority list as he looks to keep his squad together.
Now it is believed club chiefs are ready to make their bid to stave off interested rivals.
Meanwhile, Theo Fages is set to finally return home by signing for Catalans - meaning a reunion with his wife.
The Huddersfield ace, who remains just about the only Frenchman with a Salford accent after moving there when he was 15-years-old, has been courted by the Dragons twice before.

But SunSport understands it is likely to be a case of third time lucky as the 28-year-old is finally being lined up to move to his hometown club.
It is believed Fages has been in England on his own while new wife Charlene is on the other side of the Channel because of a family illness.
And that is likely to see him turn down an extension at the Giants, and approaches from two other clubs, to head back to where it all began for him at Pia.
