MIRO has warned AEW World Champion MJF he wouldn't last three minutes in a title match against him.

The Bulgarian superstar, formerly known as Rusev, joined AEW in 2020 shortly after his WWE release and hit the ground running by winning the TNT Championship, a title he held for 140 days.

But now The Redeemer is targeting the company's top prize after a successful debut at the promotion's newest show Collision, which saw him bludgeoning Tony Nese in about three minutes.

The 37-year-old also dominated Anthony Henry in just three minutes last week and is adamant the same fate awaits AEW's controversial champion if he steps inside the ring against him.

Miro told SunSport: "It's a very simple story. He thinks he's some kind of a devil, whatever. But I think as far as the match goes, I think he's gonna go less than Tony Nese. Tony Nese is a supreme athlete. And he lasted about three minutes.

"I don't think MJF will last that much. And it's just because he's a little boy, he's 25 [27] years old. He's 140 pounds, and I’m 270 pounds and wrestle Hall of Famers through my entire life. And I don't think MJF is ready for any of that.

"My goal is always to be No1. It is to go for that big title man. I always wanted to be a world champion. I know I am a world champion. I just need to solidify this with a little belt around my waist.

"But yeah, that's always going to be my number one goal, to evolve my character and keep moving forward and having great stories as usual, and dominating the ring. That's always going to be what I do. I say this, I'm not the greatest but I’m the best at what I do - and nobody can do what I do."

But Miro may also have to go through CM Punk, who made his long-awaited return two weeks ago at Collision's premiere episode after a nine-month absence.

Punk was sidelined after an injury and a controversial press conference that saw him lashing out on fellow AEW superstars.

The ex-WWE Champion carried a bag that appeared to contain the world title he never lost and warned the locker room no one can fill his boots.

Miro, though, brushed that statement off with a hilarious tongue-in-cheek statement claiming his size 13 boot is too big for the nine-time world champion anyway.

The ex-US Champion, though, would love to square up against The Best in the World to see "what the whole fuss is about" the "WWE retired" superstar.

Miro said: "The man is a great storyteller. He loves talking, he sits back [and] rehearses what he wants to say. And he's really excited about it and I'm excited for him to be back.

" You know, people are happy. I guess people have problems with whatever he's lashing out and everything which I understand is not right. But I have no business watching what other men say, they are all for themselves.

"And I guess his shoe is a size 10 or size eight anyway. It's like there's no way I can fit in those. I wear size 13, I'm a grown-a*s man. I'm not 170 pounds, looking retired - WWE retired, MMA guy and all that. I am me.

"But I would love to square up against CM Punk one day, just so I can see what the whole fuss is about, why he's so good. And he's good. I can tell from the outside. He's good. But until you lock horns with somebody, you never know."

Miro was sidelined for six months before his return at Dynamite in May.

The former WWE star spent almost a quarter of his time off healing from a rough hamstring injury he suffered during a victorious effort against Orange Cassidy in November 2021.

The heavyweight aggravated his injury during his loss to Bryan Danielson, whom he faced even though he couldn't walk.

His bruised hamstring got so bad that it bled but he managed to fully recover thanks to the help of famous chiropractor Dr Beau Hightower.

Miro said: "I was injured before my match with Orange Cassidy when I was called to do that. I was injured and then I re-injured it that during that match.

"Then I had to come back and do a match against Bryan Danielson. Which I injured it even more. And then I went out, I rehabbed and by December of that year, I was ready to go.

"It sucked, man. If anybody has ever dealt with a hamstring injury... My hamstring was torn, it was bleeding and everything was black and blue. And it sucked because like I said, I even made it worse with the second match against Bryan Danielson.

"But thanks to Dr Beau Hightower in New Mexico, after that match with Cassidy I couldn't even walk, it was impossible for me to walk. And he was able to get me on my feet, kind of running and jumping and all that. So without him, I don't think that match would have been possible."
