I’m set to be axed by David Beckham’s Inter Miami just days after Lionel Messi deal – my exit is a bit strange
INTER MIAMI star Rodolfo Pizarro has blasted the “strange” MLS rules that mean he looks set to miss out on playing alongside Lionel Messi.
Messi is set to officially become an Inter Miami player on Wednesday as he completes his free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.
The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner confirmed last month that he had agreed to move to the MLS.
Messi was reportedly offered almost £300MILLION a year to move to Saudi Arabia but Argentina’s World Cup-winning captain will still pocket a whopping salary in the States.
Messi's contract will reportedly rise to a mega $150m (£119.34m) over the course of his two-and-a-half year contract with the MLS side.
That equates to around £918k-a-week - and, incredibly, £90.70 A MINUTE!

Ahead of the deal becoming official, co-owner David Beckham lifted the lid on how he managed to pull off the mega deal.
His former Barcelona team-mate Sergio Busquets has also been added to the Inter squad.
However, to make room for the new foreign arrivals, MLS rules state that Inter must part with one of their Designated Players in order to register them.
And Mexican Pizarro, who is in the last year of his contract, looks set to be the man to make way.

The 29-year-old attacker knows incoming Miami boss Tata Martino well from playing under him for his country.
But his one assist and no goals in 12 appearances this term does not appear to have been enough to give him the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to line-up alongside the two legends.
And Pizarro, the current highest-earner at the club, has made no secret of his anger at the news that he looks set to be drafted, claiming that he did not even know it could happen without his say-so.
He said: “It’s difficult. I didn’t know, because I have a contract, that I was going to be able to be changed.
“It’s a bit strange, it already happened to many team-mates who are there one day and not the next day, I think it’s the only league in the world that does this.
“Yes, it’s weird, but those are the rules and you have to abide by them.”
Regarding Martino, Pizarro added: “Yes, I would have liked to be with him.
“And more than anything, it leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth for not having responded to all the trust that the team owners gave me.”
