Arsenal ‘AGREE’ fee with Ajax for Jurrien Timber as Gunners set to complete £200m transfer spending spree

ARSENAL have reportedly agreed a fee with Ajax for Jurrien Timber.

That’s as they prepare to take their spending past the £200million mark.

Mikel Arteta is showing he means business in the transfer window after throwing away the league last season.

Arsenal have already wrapped up a £65million deal for Chelsea forward Kai Havertz.

And they are now about to spend £105m on West Ham captain Declan Rice.

But the Gunners are now on the verge of a third signing, with the club agreeing a £40million fee with Ajax for versatile defender  Timber.

claims a deal is near completion after Arsenal verbally agreed to cough up an initial £36m.

Add-ons will take the deal to £40m.

And that will see Arsenal’s spending hit £210m – £44m more than their combined spend of £166m in the last two windows.

The Gunners have made just one sale so far, with Pablo Mari joining Italian side Monza for £4m.
