EX-ARSENAL star Ainsley Maitland-Niles is wanted by four Premier League sides after being left unemployed.

The 25-year-old midfielder is one of 10 players being released by the Gunners when their contracts expire on Friday.

Maitland-Niles was not included in the club's retained list, bringing an end to his 20-year association with Arsenal.

He joined the club aged six in 2003 and made 132 first-team appearances after progressing through the academy.

Interest in Maitland-Niles is growing, though, with four top-flight clubs said to be working on a deal.

According to , Everton, West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United have all been in talks with the player.

Several Championship clubs are also understood to have contacted Maitland-Niles' representatives.

Elsewhere in Europe, Turkish sides Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor are monitoring the player.

The report also adds that there has been initial contact from an unnamed Bundesliga side but there have yet to be any concrete talks.

Maitland-Niles spent last season on loan at Southampton, making 22 league appearances as the Saints were relegated to the Championship.

A versatile player, the former England international can play in midfield or at right-back.
