Arsenal’s forgotten man Nuno Tavares lined up for shock transfer to Champions League club
ARSENAL'S forgotten man Nuno Tavares is in line for a shock move to Galatasaray, according to reports.
The Turkish title winners will play in the Champions League next season.
And the club are closing in on adding the left-back to their squad following negotiations.
Tavares is currently away with Portugal's Under-21s at the Euros and a deal could progress once he returns.
The 23-year-old signed for Arsenal from Benfica back in 2021 for a fee of around £8million.
He played 28 times for the Gunners in his debut season.

But after the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko last summer, he was deemed surplus to requirements.
This led to him going out on loan to Marseille.
He helped the club finish third in Ligue 1, scoring six goals in 39 matches last term.
Tavares has had an up and down spell in France, previously being hailed by manager Igor Tudor as good enough for Barcelona.

However, he was later booted out of a training session for lack of effort.
Galatasaray's move for Tavares could help Arsenal sign their right-back Sacha Boey.
The 20-year-old has also been linked with Brighton.
