Man Utd hold talks with Andre Onana’s agent as they line up transfer replacement for De Gea who could leave imminently
MANCHESTER UNITED met with Inter Milan star Andre Onana’s agent yesterday as they “explore options” for David de Gea’s replacement, reports claim.
The Red Devils are looking to get De Gea’s future resolved by the end of this week.
Erik ten Hag is waiting to discover whether his Spanish goalkeeper will agree terms on a vastly-reduced contract to stay at the club.
His current £375,000-a-week deal expires on June 30 and we reported yesterday how they had “sounded out” Onana over a move to Old Trafford.
Transfer guru offered an update on the potential deal last night.
And it seems that things are heating up as he tweeted: “Andre Onana’s agent Albert Botines had direct meeting with Manchester United today.

“Man Utd are approaching goalkeepers to explore options in case de Gea leaves — still waiting for final decision on that one.
“Inter won’t sell Onana for less than €50m with add ons.”
Meanwhile, Dean Henderson looks set to be offloaded by Ten Hag following last season’s loan spell at Nottingham Forest.
That means that all options remain open regarding a No 1 for next season.

United chiefs have held talks with some candidates for a back-up role should De Gea stay.
But the 32-year-old departing and buying a new first-choice keeper is also being considered.
And it seems that Cameroon star Onana, 27, is the leading contender if they go down that route.
Ten Hag previously worked with the ace, who is also wanted by Chelsea, at Ajax and he fits the mould of the goalie he wants to bring in to Old Trafford.
