Chelsea fans hail Mudryk as ‘future Ballon d’Or winner’ after star rescues Ukraine with two sensational assists
CHELSEA fans rate Mykhailo Mudryk a "future Ballon d'Or winner" after his two stunning assists sparked a 3-2 comeback win for Ukraine.
The £97million winger has been erratic since his Blues' arrival in January but was praised for "generational" passing in Friday's Euro 2024 qualifier.
The former Shakhtar Donetsk hero created the final two goals after Ukraine had trailed 2-0 - with contrasting bursts of skills.
He dribbled away from halfway to pull the back from the left line for Yukhym Konoplya to make it 2-2.
Then he swerved a through-ball that few would even have seen let alone attempted for Viktor Tsyhankov to nip in and head a looping late winner.
Victory put Ukraine second in Group C with three points from two games - albeit six behind leaders England.

On the same night the Three Lions notched their third triumph in three qualifiers, a 4-0 cruise in Malta.
But many Chelsea supporters seemed equally as impressed by Mudryk's deadly double delivery as they were by England's romp.
One said of his second decisive moment: "Another Mudryk assist. what is going on. Ballon d'Or looming."
Another raved: "What a pass for that goal. Generational."

That drew the response: "He actually is generational on a real tho, not a lot of players have his attributes and the way he plays."
A fourth fan added: "Not surprised ... he's always had an eye for a pass."
Supporters desperately hope Mudryk can build on this international break to return to the Premier League next season with extra self-belief.
That view was summed up by this tweet: "If we’re able to install confidence in this guy and allow him to cook we might actually have our own superstar."
