Fans left baffled with Real Madrid on verge of signing their ‘own Wout Weghorst’ in bizarre transfer
SUPPORTERS have been left in shock after news of Real Madrid's latest transfer target emerged.
And some Manchester United fans even compared it to Wout Weghorst’s strange move to Old Trafford.
We reported how former Premier League flop Joselu is on the verge of signing for Real Madrid.
The Spaniard bagged just ten Premier League goals in four years during stints at Stoke and Newcastle between 2015 and 2019.

He adds that personal terms with Joselu were agreed last week, with Madrid securing "favourable conditions".
Joselu, 33, "dreams" of a return to the Bernabeu, having played for Real between 2009 and 2012.
The forward banged goals in for Real Madrid's B Team, but made just two first team appearances, scoring in both, before being sold to Hoffenheim.
But while Madrid fans dream of bringing in Kylian Mbappe after his explosive contract bombshell rocked Paris Saint-Germain yesterday, it now looks as if it will be Joselu in their attack next term… And it sent Twitter wild.

“Joselu will bench Mbappe,” declared one fan to the news.
A Manchester United fan said: “This is how we signed Weghorst in jokes.”
While another joked: “Mbappe as back up to Joselu, perfect.”
After spells with Hoffenheim, Eintracht Frankfurt and Hannover, Joselu joined Stoke for £5.75million in 2015.
He scored four goals in his debut Prem campaign, before being shipped out on loan to Deportivo.
In 2017 he joined Newcastle for £5m, going on to bag seven goals in 52 appearances for the Toon before joining Alaves two years later.
In 2022 he joined Espanyol for what was to be a prolific spell.
The 6ft 4in ace scored 16 goals in LaLiga last term, even breaking into the Spain squad in the process.
He came off the bench to score twice in a dream debut against Norway in March, before earning his first international start for La Roja in their 2-0 defeat to Scotland.
Real Madrid are on the hunt for new centre-forwards following Karim Benzema's exit.
Carlo Ancelotti's side have been linked with Harry Kane, although a deal looks unlikely at this stage, with Kai Havertz is also reportedly on their radar.
