A SCRAP broke out at a football match where only women and children were allowed to attend.
The Brazilian Serie B fixture between Sport Recife and ABC was played out at the Ilha do Retiro stadium last night.
Men were reportedly banned from being in the stands as punishment for an invasion by Recife fans in a game against Vasco last year.
That meant only women and kids could take their place in the 32,000-seater ground.
However, Recife's hopes of ensuring there were no crowd problems were dashed when rival supporters clashed behind the advertising hoardings and safety fence.
Video footage after ABC's equaliser just before half-time shows the women goading, grappling and swinging arms across a barrier as security try and diffuse the situation by pulling them apart.

However, another angle shows dozens of women in red and black - the colours of Sport Recife - charging to seemingly join in the chaos.
As they do so, though, many women in white - the colour of ABC - fled to safety.
On the pitch, the game finished with a 4-1 win for Recife - thanks to a double from CSKA Moscow hero and FIFA legend Vagner Love.
The shocking scenes in Brazil came just hours after Leicester fans were spotted fighting each other at the King Power Stadium.
