Wrexham star BANNED from casinos on Ryan Reynolds’ all expenses paid promotion trip to Las Vegas, reveals Rob McElhenney

WREXHAM star Max Cleworth was NOT able to gamble or drink during the club's promotion party in Las Vegas.

The National League champions were treated to an all expenses paid trip to the US by owner Ryan Reynolds following their return to the fourth tier after 15 years away.

Co-owner Rob McElhenney and wife Kaitlin Olson were snapped with the squad out in Vegas.

But centre-back Max Cleworth, 20, was banned from some of the temptations of Vegas.

This was because he had not yet had his 21st birthday - the legal age for drinking and gambling in Nevada.

Speaking about the holiday on the , McElhenney said: "I did not gamble with any of the gentlemen.

"When they went into a casino, mummy and daddy (McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson, McElhenney's wife) took their leave."

Reynolds then added: "Wasn't it Max Cleworth who wasn't old enough to enjoy the best bits of Vegas?"

McElhenney replied: "Yeah, sometimes he wasn't allowed into places, and some of the guys would stay with him, and they'd find other things to do."

Before Reynolds concluded: "He entered Vegas a boy, and he left a man."

Underage gambling in Vegas carries a penalty of up to six months in jail and a fine.

So Cleworth, who made 24 appearances for Wrexham this season, was forced to explore other parts of Sin City.

The Welsh outfit secured promotion back to the Football League following a 3-1 win over Boreham Wood last month.

They claimed the National League title with a remarkable 111 points, four points ahead of Notts County.

Notts County then clinched their own promotion at Wembley over the weekend following a penalty shoot-out win over Chesterfield.
