Meet Adam Smith, Jeff Stelling’s likely Soccer Saturday replacement who opened Spurs stadium and hosted Logan Paul fight
JEFF STELLING is leaving Soccer Saturday at the end of the season.
And Adam Smith is the shock candidate to replace him on the iconic Sky Sports programme.
As exclusively revealed by SunSport, Smith is in pole position.
And he was even interviewed for the gig last year alongside Mark Chapman and Julian Warren.
But the popular Saturday Social host wowed bosses with his performance in the screen test.
And he is expected to take over in the Sky hotseat for the 2023-24 football season.

But what do we know about the possible new face of Soccer Saturday?
Smith left college in Guildford in 2002 with three As at A-level then earned a 2:1 in Sports Science and Management at Loughborough University.
He graduated in 2006 and immediately joined Sky Sports, joining the team at Soccer AM - where he was best known for his 'Away Days' with character Franky Fryer.
Smith - who speaks some German - has been a mainstay at the broadcaster ever since, taking on various presenting roles with Goals on Sunday and The Debate - as well as with friend Laura Woods.

Elsewhere, he works with Tottenham and the England national team as well as a stint with talkSPORT.
The presenter also helped the coverage of the opening ceremony of Spurs' new stadium and the KSI vs Logan Paul fight.
Away from sport, he was at Windsor Castle as part of the Queen's 90th birthday celebrations and, as a Type 1 Diabetic, is a celebrity ambassador and honorary patron of charity JDRF.
Smith has been public with his own mental health struggles and recently attained a mental health first aid certificate.
He married his wife Alexandra in 2018 and they welcomed their son Oscar in February 2021.
