SUNDERLAND moved off the bottom of the table with a second successive Premier League win over Hull - but not before the Stadium of Light was dramatically plunged into darkness.
Jermain Defoe and Victor Anichebe grabbed the vital goals for David Moyes' side as they took three points for only the second time this season.
But play had to be stopped in the second half when all the floodlights bizarrely turned off.

Players from both sides left the pitch as those behind the scenes worked frantically to fix the problem.
But the fans certainly enjoyed the moment as they switched on their phones to use as makeshift torches in the stands.
And it was joy for Defoe when he fired in his 150th Premier League goal in the 34th minute, beating two Hull players before putting Sunderland ahead.
Anichebe then doubled his side's lead in the 62nd minute as he latched onto a cross from Patrick van Aanholt before hitting an absolute screamer with eight minutes remaining.
But it wasn't a perfect day for the Black Cats, who lost Papy Djilobodji to a second yellow card in the dying moments.

WHAT THEY SAID:
Sunderland boss David Moyes: “It was a great way to get the win in the end but it was an eventful day and it was end to end. It could have been five each. But thankfully we’ve got a very good young goalkeeper and when we got our chances we took them.
“I’ve got two in-form strikers and I hope they remain that way because everybody knows about Jermain. I think today he scored his 150th goal and only people that know about goals understand just how hard that is.
“Victor has been very good as a team player. He was like a young Drogba, he was that good today.
“The last thing I needed was for this game to be abandoned. It’s so important to get that first goal and when we got in front it wasn’t just, because I though Hull were the better team. “
