Manchester United vs Aston Villa betting tips
It's two sides in the European shake-up that meet when Aston Villa travel to face Man Utd.
Villa's incredible run of form has taken them to just six points behind United in fourth spot -- though they've played two games more.
They're still firmly in the hunt for a European spot of some sort though after a ten-game unbeaten run, including eight wins in that time.
United will feel they should be further in command of their Champions League spot but for a second half collapse on Thursday night.
Erik ten Hag's men were cruising 2-0 at half time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before chucking it away to leave with a point.
They're expected to bounce back accordingly as they now face a scrap for third with Newcastle, with 3/4 odds offered on a home win. Villa aren't far behind though at 10/3.
By the book
Douglas Luiz faces strong competition in that middle of the park and will have his hands full with Bruno Fernandes.
He's not shy in making a tackle and would be no surprise to see him make it two yellows in three games.
Jarred Gillett is the man in the middle, with 42 yellows brandished in 14 Premier League games.
Constantine Hatzidakis is back on assistant refereeing duty after his suspension and will be hoping to have a less profile afternoon than his last outing.
Goals galore
This fixture has thrown up plenty of goals and this one could prove no different.
With four goals in United's game in midweek and a defensive crisis, this could be a high scoring affair.
In fact, there's been at least four goals scored in the last four meetings between the sides (18 in four games).
Two chances
United's last loss at Old Trafford was back in September - a 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad.
That's no mean feat given Newcastle have visited twice as well as Manchester City and Barcelona in that time.
But it's also been two draws in their last five home games and Villa's form has to be considered.
Particularly when they themselves have only lost once in their last nine games away from Villa Park.
