Anthony Joshua backed to ‘box Deontay Wilder’s EARS OFF’ by Eddie Hearn who warns AJ could also ‘knock him clean out’

EDDIE HEARN expects Anthony Joshua to either box Deontay Wilder's ears off or knock him clean out.

Hearn is set for talks in Saudi Arabia where hosts want AJ to face the American in a December blockbuster.

And the promoter has rubbished suggestions that Wilder is the favourite to win the fight.

He told : "Joshua has boxed everybody that he’s been asked to box and now it’s a fight to avoid against Deontay Wilder?

"If you think AJ is an underdog in that fight, in my opinion, you’re mad.

“It’s just one of the greatest fights in boxing, so let’s roll the dice and see AJ put it on the line in a massive fight.

"Do you want to see the most exciting fights? Because they come with a lot of risk.

"AJ will box his ears off, but if he gets caught – like anyone else in the division – he could get stopped in that fight.

"Wilder is very dangerous but if he hits Wilder on the chin, he’s knocking him clean out.

"It's just one of the greatest fights in boxing, but boxing is just a mad world where it's like 'That's the one to avoid'.

Joshua, 33, beat Jermaine Franklin, 29, on points at the start of April in his return fight.

Meanwhile Wilder, 37, is yet to box since knocking out Robert Helenius, 39, in the first round of his comeback last October.

But the pair could be in line to finally fight with money being fronted to stage it in the Middle East.

And amazingly, Tyson Fury, 34, could also unify the belts against Oleksandr Usyk, 36, as part of a boxing bonanza in Saudi.
