Charlton sack Russell Slade and are set to replace him with an unknown Northern Irish boss
Chris O'Loughlin's most recent position was at owner Roland Duchatelet's Belgian club Sint-Truiden
RUSSELL SLADE has been sacked as Charlton boss - and is set to be replaced by relative unknown.
Slade, 56, bit the bullet after Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Swindon left the Addicks 15th in the table.
It means the ex-Cardiff chief lasted just five months at The Valley.
His replacement is Northern Irishman O'Loughlin who has never managed in this country.
The 38-year-old's most recent position was as boss of Belgian outfit Sint-Truiden, owned by hated Charlton owner Roland Duchatelet.
Angry supporters have already conducted various protests against Duchatelet, who last attended a match in October 2014 but refuses to sell up.
And irked fans are hardly likely to be impressed by yet another managerial change - the eighth of Duchatelet's new three-year reign - and another boss without experience in English football.
