WWE WrestleMania 39 LIVE RESULTS: Endeavor takeover CONFIRMED, Shane McMahon horror injury LATEST, Reigns BEATS Rhodes

WWE WrestleMania 39 concluded in thrilling fashion in LA.

Cody Rhodes lost in controversial circumstances to Roman Reigns in his quest for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the HUGE main event.

While earlier in the night Shane McMahon legitimately blew out his knee in a horror injury just 10 seconds into his surprise match.

And we have all the latest as WWE's sale to UFC owners Endeavor has been CONFIRMED.

  • Two stars 'to leave'

    According to a report from , WWE NXT stars Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid have requested their release from WWE.

    The pair were involved in the recent Stand & Deliver, but there is no information available about their visa status or non-compete clauses.

  • Vince clear

    Vince McMahon has insisted that recent misconduct allegations were not a reason behind WWE and UFC merger.

    He told CNBC: "Nothing has ever happened like this before, and again, I'm always looking at what's best for our stockholders, what's best for the company."

    When asked if the scandal sped up the merger, he replied, "No, it didn't really in and of itself, no.

    "But it's great that we can combine all of this news together at the same time."

  • Praise for Gunther

    WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque has backed Gunther to to reach the top of WWE.

    Levesque said: "Gunther is at a different level of hitting hard and, you know, when you talk about another event like tonight of making stars and star-making performances, all three of them walked out bigger stars.

    "But Gunther put himself on a different level tonight, different playing field, and that's impressive. The sky is the limit for him. I can't say enough good stuff about him.

    "He's a throwback when it comes to storytelling in that ring and, you know, every single thing he does means something and I don't see that a lot."

  • Emotional night

    Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair put on an amazing show in their WWE "SmackDown" Women's Championship fight.

    And Ripley has admitted that she cried before her big fight.

    She told BT Sport: "So I soaked it in a little bit this morning.

    "I got really emotional here at WrestleMania before I put all my make-up on for it to be smudged off.

    "I think more will come. I've had a lot of great moments … I thought that I couldn't top the Royal Rumble, but here we are, and I've definitely topped it."

  • Who are the Endeavor group?

    WWE has been SOLD to UFC's parent company Endeavor Group.

    Endeavor is an American holding company for talent and media agencies.

    The group represents artists in film, television, music, theater, digital media and publishing.

    The company is run by CEO Ari Emanuel and executive chairman Patrick Whitesell.

    Endeavor also owns the UFC, which means Dana White's promotion will merge with WWE.

    The company is very much involved with sports as it also works with the NFL and NHL.

  • Shane pain

    Shane McMahon tore his quad during his botched WrestleMania match against The Miz.

    The WWE star entered the ring as The Miz's unexpected opponent at the SoFi Stadium in Hollywood.

    But after jumping over The Miz the 53-year-old landed awkwardly and collapsed to the canvas.

    He appeared to have injured his knee but WWE chief Triple H has confirmed he suffered a torn quad.

    Triple H said: “Unfortunately, Shane tore his quad early in the match, and not that it was going to be a long match, probably, but going down with a torn quad."

  • McGregor to be UFC & WWE star?

    Conor McGregor has declared his intention to become the first UFC and WWE world champion.

    It comes after WWE were brought by UFC's parent company Endeavor.

    Taking to , McGregor posted a photo of himself with a WWE and UFC belt draped over his shoulder.

    WrestleMania 39 was the most successful Mania event of all-time.

    Triple H confirmed that WWE brought in £17million.

    Fans have joked the revenue could be spent on tying Roman Reigns down to a new contract.

  • Triple H mourns death

    WWE legend Triple H broke down in tears after revealing the mum of one of the young Wrestlemania dancers died on the morning of the show.

    In an emotional press conference, Triple H, real name Paul Levesque, revealed the contortionist dancer who appeared during Bianca Belair's entrance tragically lost her mum before the show.

    The WWE's chief content officer said: "Before I open this up to questions I want to mention one other thing...

    "I wanted to offer [our] condolences and thoughts and prayers. There's a little girl in that troupe today [who] as they got here that informed us that her mum passed away this morning.

    "It's the little girl that was the contortionist that Bianca danced with.

    "For her to come and do that because that's her passion in life and because she didn't want to let this opportunity pass by. For her to never miss a beat, to see her dance partners swarm around her.

    "To see everybody come together for her, to see everybody come to me to tell me about it and then for us to get to do what we do, which is give her that opportunity and moment with Bianca, and create a moment for her on the worst day of her life that she will never forget.

    "It's why we do what we do, on so many levels.

    "So I just want to say how cool that was from Bianca and just offer [her] our condolences and hope tomorrow is a better day."

  • BREAKING NEWS: Endeavour buys WWE

    Endeavour, the company that own the UFC, have purchased WWE.

    They have taken over 51 per cent of the business.

    Their joint ventures are worth £17billion.

    A from Endeavour chief Ariel Emanuel said: "This is a rare opportunity to create a global sports and entertainment pureplay built for where the industry is headed.

    "For decades, Vince McMahon and his team have demonstrated an incredible track record of innovation and shareholder value creation, and we are confident that Endeavour can deliver significant additional value for shareholders by bringing UFC and WWE together."

  • McGregor breaks silence on WWE deal

    Conor McGregor has spoken out on a rumoured takeover of WWE by UFC parent company Endeavour.

    The legendary MMA fighter was delighted by the news, and congratulated the UFC.

    He tweeted: "Congrats to the @ufc now worth a cool Proper $12bn. Wow! Endeavor bout to scoop the @WWE now also. Incredible. What a powerhouse!"

    Many fans of the Notorious will have also noted the pun he placed in his tweet, with a nod to his Proper Twelve whisky brand.

    The label, which he last year sold a majority stake in for $600million, was named after Dublin postal District, number 12, where the fighter grew up.

    McGregor also celebrated the news by posting a mock-up of himself with WWE and UFC title belts.

    Asuka has slammed WWE's women's division as "boring" after her defeat to Bianca Belair.

    It was her fifth loss at Mania, having held the NXT, Raw, SmackDown, and WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

    Asuka : ";I might as well go back to Japan… But I bet a lot of you guys my friends will miss me when I leave WWE.

    "Now I need the power of your anger. Let’s bring chaos to the boring Women’s Division with me.

    Vince McMahon is set to remain in his role as executive chairman, while Endeavour's Ari Emanuel will act as chief executive.

    And for the UFC, Dana White is set to retain his current position.

    McMahon had left the WWE in an  following sexual misconduct allegations.

    However, he returned last January to oversee the sale of the company.

  • 'Just getting started'

    Triple H has broken his silence after reports emerged suggesting Vince McMahon was set to sell WWE.

    According to a report from , WWE is set to be sold to Endeavor Group, the parent company of the UFC.

    WWE legend and now chief content officer Triple H, remained tight-lipped at first, before declaring this was just the beginning.

    Asked if he could comment on the sale, Triple H, real name Paul Levesque, said: "Nope." Going on to say he wants to focus on Wrestling tonight.

    As quoted by , Triple H later added: "I can promise you, whatever happens here, WWE is going nowhere. We're just getting started."

    Vince McMahon is reportedly in advance talks to sell WWE.

    UFC owners Endeavour could take a 51 per cent stake and the other 49 per cent will be held by WWE shareholders.

    The business is worth $7.6billion, according to CNBC.

    Last night's match took place amid intense rumours suggesting Drew McIntyre is on his way out of WWE.

    The two-time world champion's contract is in its final year and there are "no signs" of an extension after WrestleMania.

    The exact reason why negotiations have hit a snag between the two parties is currently unknown.

    That means this could have been the first ever British WWE Champion's last ever WrestleMania.

    WWE superstars Sheamus and British hero Drew McIntyre broke character last night at WrestleMania.

     and the Irish legend challenged Intercontinental Champion Gunther at the SoFi Stadium in Hollywood.

    As the Gunther walked to the back with his belt to celebrate after his win, the cameras went off in California.

    Sheamus and McIntyre then broke character by hugging each other in the middle of the ring.

    The two heavyweights also received a loud ovation from the crowd after an incredible display.

  • Shane McMahon injury latest

    Shane McMahon suffered a shock botch during his surprise return at WrestleMania 39.

    Shane entered the ring as The Miz's unexpected opponent at the SoFi Stadium in Hollywood.

    The American climbed the ring after Miz's WrestleMania co-host and superstar rapper Snoop Dogg put him into another impromptu match.

    The two grapplers reignited their rivalry from WrestleMania 35 but the bout came to a sudden halt after WWE owner Vince McMahon's son botched a leap.

    The 53-year-old landed awkwardly and seemed to have popped his knee, which then led him to fall on the canvas.

    The situation got very awkward as the cameras concentrated on The Miz, who acted like everything was going as expected while medical staff attended to his opponent off camera.

    Roman Reigns has left the SoFi Stadium with his belts after a stunning main event.

    Though the win over Cody Rhodes was not without a a controversial ending with Solo Sikoa delivering a Samoan Spike to Rhodes to assist the victory.

    Cody Rhodes had his chances to win this contest, each time, Roman Reigns managed to kick out.

    He was so close to causing an upset tonight.

    Instead, he is left in the ring wondering what could have been.
