Chelsea vs Everton betting tips
If history is anything to go by -- Everton will not collect three points here.
The Toffees have a truly awful record at Stamford Bridge having failed to win in 27 Premier League trips dating back to November 1994.
Sean Dyche's side have also struggled on the road this season.
They've won once and drawn five to collect eight points with only Leeds, West Ham and Nottingham Forest securing less points away from home (6).
And they now meet a resurgent Chelsea.
Having been favourite for the sack, Graham Potter is now expected to win the Manager of the Month award having won his last three on the bounce.
Progression in the Champions League was sandwiched between two top-flight wins over Leeds and Leicester with things starting to click in West London.
On the road…
It's a short price but Chelsea win to Nil looks a good bet on Saturday at 11/10 with Ladbrokes.
The Blues finally have a settled defence, and they've combined to keep five clean sheets in their last seven home fixtures in all competitions.
We've already discussed Everton's away woe, so it's no surprise to see that they've only managed eight goals on the road this season in 13 games.
They've also failed to score in seven of their last ten visits to Stamford Bridge and the continued absence of Dominic Calvert-Lewin will not help to remedy that.
It's clicked…
It's taken a while, but Graham Potter is finally getting the best of out of Germany international Kai Havertz.
The 23-year-old, often deployed as a central striker in a front three, was among the goals against Leicester last time out.
He also netted in the previous encounter with Borussia Dortmund from the spot. It's worth also noting that Havertz is now Chelsea's first-choice penalty taker.
He's been given the freedom of the attacking positions by Potter and he's now starting to thrive having had more efforts on goal than any Chelsea player in the last two top-flight games (6).
Big tackle…
Dwight McNeil has finally found his feet at Everton.
The winger, 23, has three goals and two assists under his belt, including a spectacular winner against Brentford last time out.
But one of his real strengths that flies under the radar is tackling. The Englishman has made 23 tackles in his last seven appearances -- only Idrissa Gueye has more (35).
He'll no doubt have his hands full at Stamford Bridge on Saturday with Everton likely to defend deep and hit Chelsea on the counter.
