Luciana urged fans to use their "common sense" when considering the issue.

She told : "I mean this is a tale as old as time so far away from the truth.

"It's so easy. It's the internet. You can finish the show here and then go write an article saying I make £2m per hour and people are going to believe it.

"It's not true. We don't make more than the fighters.

"Let's use common sense, do you really think we would be making more money than the commentators, than the fighters, than the broadcasters to walk around for a few rounds? Obviously not."

The star adds that she took up the opportunity to be a ring girl to travel as she did "not come from money".

Pay has been a touchy issue in MMA recently and is often a point of tension between UFC president Dana White and fighters.

Former heavyweight star Francis Ngannou was stripped of his title in January and released from UFC after failing to agree terms for a new deal.

The situation opened the door for Jon Jones to make an incredible return to UFC and win the vacant belt over the weekend.

The 35-year-old recorded a first-round victory over Ciryl Gane in his first fight for three years.
