Two goals from Marcus Rashford sandwiched a Jadon Sancho strike to tighten United’s hold on third place.

But it was the latter who caught the eye yesterday after an amazing bit of teamwork with Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The duo linked up on the right flank to full effect against the Foxes.

And their fluid partnership came to light after fan footage from the stands captured a magical bit of football.

Taking the ball to Leicester’s corner flag, Sancho and Wan-Bissaka proceeded to run rings around opposition defenders with quick one-twos and clever movements.

Leicester couldn’t get near the pair as they zig-zagged and pinged the ball around like they were at Carrington.

And fans were blown away by the pair’s impromptu “training session” at the Theatre of Dreams.

One said: “Seeing the resurgence of AWB and Sancho is just a summary of the marvellous job Erik ten Hag is doing.”

Another declared: “This was one of the best moments of the game.”

One noted: “Ten Hag got Sancho comfortable on the ball and coordinating with everyone, he’s gonna be an absolute beast if he maintains it.”

Another declared: “Man got AWB playing like prime Iniesta.”

Meanwhile, boss Erik ten Hag has thanked fans for backing him amid United's takeover talk.

He said: “I thank the fans they have their trust in me. I feel committed with this club.

“I love to be here but it is not in my influence. What I can influence is the performance of this team and I will do everything to continue.

"We are committed with this club, it is our club, in our heart - but it is not our job.

“We focus on football and perform and that is what the players and staff have to do.”
