SunSport reported that former Spurs and Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood is being lined-up by QPR if Hasselbaink failed to get a result against Forest.

The Rs lost their last two Championship matches before today and fans – who were pictured fighting among themselves in Friday’s defeat to Brentford - have lost patience with the former Middlesbrough man’s points haul and style of football.

Sherwood is a friend of R's director of football Les Ferdinand and almost got the job back in 2015 before Harry Redknapp was replaced by Chris Ramsey - and is desperate for a dug-out return after a terrible time at Villa.
