It further stated Guardiola's worst win-less run as a manger of six games is well and truly over after thumping West Brom 4-1 at the Hawthorns last Saturday.

In the space of a week City have the chance to go from no wins in Six to winning three on the bounce in the crazy world of football.

Yaya Toure was pictured training after apologising to Guardiola, the club and fans after his agent Dimitri Seluk went to the media to say Toure had been humiliated after being left out of the Champions League squad.

So perhaps there is a way back in to the team for Toure one of City's most decorated players since his move from Barcelona in 2010 winning two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and two EFL Cups.

The 33 year old will have to dislodge new boy Ilkay Gundogan who has impressed since his move from Borussia Dortmund and return from injury.

Vincent Kompany also trained as he looks to overcome the constant stop start comebacks from injury as he took part in a drill with John Stones, Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling.

The snoods were also out as Gael Clichy kept warm in a hat and gloves in what seemed to be a very happy City camp as they now look to press on and show why they are many's favourites for the title.

Stones will have to keep his wits about him when Middlesbrough roll in with former City striker Alvaro Negredo ready to halt his old clubs Premier League challenge.
