Gerard Pique’s mum ‘devastated’ after ‘cheating’ footballer’s ex Shakira ‘bans their kids from calling her grandma’

GERARD Pique's mum has reportedly been left devastated after Shakira banned her kids from calling her grandma.

The Colombian singer is said to be embroiled in a fiery family feud with her former mother-in-law following her split from Pique last year.

Montserrat Bernabéu has reportedly lost her grandparent title as tempers continue to flare in wake of their public "war".

Shakira has allegedly forbidden her sons Sasha, seven, and Milan, ten, from uttering the moniker due to the gran's support of her son's new lover Clara Chia Marti.

It is sure to be a dagger in the heart for the Barcelona legend's mum, who lives right next door to the youngsters.

According to , respected neurologist Montserrat has been left "devastated by the war unleashed by Shakira".

Citing Spanish celeb magazine Lecturas, the publication claimed her grandkids are being weaponised by the Hips Don't Lie singer.

It went on to allege that Pique's mum had "fought to the end" to help the estranged couple reconcile - amid rumours the ex-footballer desperately tried to win Shakira back.

Sources close to Montserrat have claimed she and her hubby, lawyer Joan Pique, have been "open to dialogue" with Shakira.

It was reported that the couple made "sacrifices" to accommodate the pop star throughout the messy split.

But Shakira has painted a picture of Montserrat being the meddling mother-in-law who lives too close for comfort.

In her explosive diss track that was littered with barbs towards Pique, she complained that her ex had " left my mother-in-law as my neighbour".

She supposedly started work to build a wall between their two homes, which are joined in some areas, after a cement mixer was seen on the grounds.

Residents close to their Barcelona properties reported hearing Shakira "blasting the song at full volume".

The 45-year-old then propped up a witch doll on her balcony that overlooks Montserrat's home in another jibe.

The gran is said to have stormed over to the house to demand it be removed - and the singer supposedly refused.

It seemed her request fell on deaf ears as  just days ago.

Shakira opted to wear an oversized white sweatshirt with lyrics from her song for the occasion that read: "Women don’t cry, women monetize."

The songstress also compared his new relationship to "trading a Rolex for a Casio" in her brutal new track.

Pique then went Instagram official with his girlfriend Clara, sharing a cosy snap of them smiling together online.

Shakira, 45, and Pique, 35, split last year after the Spaniard left her for 23-year-old Clara Chia Marti.

The pair have been engaged in a sour falling-out since they parted ways after a 12-year romance.
