Sergio Aguero insists he has no problems with boss Pep Guardiola after the striker wins back his Manchester City place

SERGIO AGUERO says there are no problems with Pep Guardiola — and he is hoping to learn from the Spaniard.

The Argentinian striker, 28, was surprisingly axed from the Manchester City starting XI for the game in Barcelona two weeks ago.

But since then he has been back in favour and trying to meet the high standards the new Etihad chief is setting.

Aguero did not score in the 3-1 victory in Tuesday’s return fixture but he still terrorised the  Barcelona defence.

And asked about his relationship with boss Guardiola, he said: “We talk a lot about things.

“He gives me tips to improve. What I need to do is go  on  the pitch and try to do better.

“I think that we are going the right way but I have a lot of things to learn and every game brings something different.”

Aguero was understood to be disappointed by Guardiola’s decision at the Nou Camp — but  says he accepted it.

He added: “I’m never angry. I respect every manager’s decision.

“He said it was a tactical thing and I respect that.

“When I went on the pitch I tried to give my best and then train hard. But no one was in a bad mood.”

Guardiola  had a plan to beat his old club — but kept his instructions to his players fairly simple.

Aguero said: “Pep just told us how to press them and counter attack, to keep going, and to believe we could win the game.”
