Dozzell is a local boy born in Ipswich and is a product of the Tractor Boys Academy. His rapid success saw the youngster named Academy player of the year last season.
His progress was rewarded with boss Mick McCarthy earmarking Dozzell as a future star and fast tracking the midfielder into his first team plans.
Kop boss Jurgen Klopp had been alerted to Dozzell's potential and was prepared to sign the teenager in the summer.
However the young starlet decided to stay at Portman Road and look to play a full season in the Championship under the tutelage of experienced boss Mick McCarthy.
But that decision does not look to be paying off at the moment as the teenager has only featured in one game and that was 45 minutes in the League Cup in August. Liverpool are set to test the Championship side's resolve with a £2million bid.
