BLUES BLOW

Chelsea in triple injury blow after Sterling and Pulisic forced off inside 20 minutes vs Man City with Mount already out

The Blues were already without Mason Mount, who suffered a knock in training ahead of the game against the reigning champions and missed out.

Soon after, things got even worse for Graham Potter as Raheem Sterling was taken off after just THREE MINUTES.

The winger went down early on following a tackle from England pal John Stones.

And he wasn’t able to continue with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang coming on in his place.

But the agony didn’t stop there for Potter.

That’s because he also lost Christian Pulisic inside the first 20 minutes.

The American wasn’t able to continue having been on the receiving end of another strong Stones challenge after he had the chance to give Chelsea the lead.

Potter is already without several key players and was forced to name four teenagers on the bench to face Pep Guardiola’s men as a result.

Edouard Mendy, Reece James, Wesley Fofana, Ben Chilwell, N’Golo Kante, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Armando Broja are already sidelined.

And Pulisic’s withdrawal forced Potter to bring on one of those youngsters with Carney Chukwuemeka getting his biggest chunk of Prem action yet.

The 19-year-old had previously played just 46 minutes in the league since his summer move from Aston Villa.
