‘One of our bankers’ – Willie Mullins breaks protocol to reveal which of his horses WILL win at Cheltenham Festival
WILLIE MULLINS told punters which one of his horses will be his Cheltenham Festival banker after a stunning victory on Boxing Day.
The mightily impressive Lossiemouth was flawless in winning the Grade 2 Knight Frank Juvenile Hurdle at Leopardstown.
Paul Townend had the race sewn up turning for home as the 4-5 fav won by seven-and-a-half lengths from Gala Marceau.
Lossiemouth was cut to 6-4 from 11-4 for the Triumph, having been 12-1 three weeks ago.
She looks unbeatable and comes from the stable of powerhouse owner and £100million banker Rich Ricci.
His pink and green silks are synonymous with Festival winners - and Mullins reckons Lossiemouth is a banker for the 2m hurdle contest.
Abandoning his usual coy nature and riddles over entries, Mullins declared: "She did that nicely and jumped well.
"I'm very pleased with her and she looks the real deal.

"She will be one of our bankers at Cheltenham I'd imagine. She deserves her favouritism for the Triumph."
Winning jockey Townend added: "She's definitely going the right way.
"She backed up her run the last day.
"This was not a straightforward race and I think in a truly run race you'd the true mare.
"She had to get down and dirty and grind it out and she had no bother doing that."
Mullins currently has a whole host of superstars who look good things at the Festival.
Unbeaten superstar Facile Vega is 5-4 fav for the Supreme and 6-1 fav for the Ballymore.
Gaillard Du Mesnil is 11-4 fav for the National Hunt Chase and Energumene evens fav for the Champion Chase.
