TONI KROOS claims Zinedine Zidane is the "best possible successor" to France boss Didier Deschamps.
And the German midfielder reckons his former manager has a "70-30 chance" of taking over the beaten World Cup finalists.
Deschamps admits he is uncertain if he'll stay after narrowly failing to land the ultimate trophy twice in a row.
But Kroos believes French legend Zidane is eager to return to management, having regularly been linked with his national job.

"I'd say there's a 70/30 chance for Zizou to become France's new coach.
"I think he really wants to get back onto the training field."
Deschamps is thinking over his future after Argentina won Sunday's final in Qatar 4-2 on penalties following a 3-3 draw.
The 54-year-old, who took the France job in 2012, said immediately afterwards: "Even if we had won, I wouldn't have been able to answer that question.

French Football Federation chief Noel Le Graet told he hopes to meet Deschamps " to clear up the situation.
