FRANCE players received a huge reception at their hotel after beating England in the World Cup quarter-final.

Goals from Aurelien Tchouameni and Olivier Giroud either side of a Harry Kane penalty sent the world champions through to their second successive World Cup semi-final.

And there were big celebrations in the team hotel after the match.

Hotel staff welcomed the players back with cheering, applause and confetti.

They also hoisted up a huge France flag and high-fived members of the squad as they entered the lobby, including Giroud.

Antoine Griezmann danced around to the tune of Freed From Desire by Gala Rizzato, which has become France's unofficial anthem.

Other members of the squad filmed the scenes inside the hotel and Kylian Mbappe had a huge smile on his face.

The music continued as players went to their rooms and several stars began dancing on the balcony, including former Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi.

France's official Twitter page shared a video of the celebrations alongside the caption: "We don't want to go home, we're fine here!"

Les Bleus take on Morocco next in Wednesday's semi-final.

Morocco are the first African nation to reach the last four of a World Cup and the winner of that clash will take on Argentina or Croatia in Sunday's final.

Meanwhile players have flown home from Qatar following their crushing exit.
