But Wan-Bissaka's choice was not the famous first or the arguably even better second instalment - Lost In New York.

Instead footage from 2018 when Wan-Bissaka was still at Crystal Palace has resurfaced on Twitter, in which he revealed his favourite festive film was in fact Home Alone 3.

The third Home Alone film does not feature Macaulay Culkin as Kevin, and is unlikely to ever top a poll of fans' favourite Christmas films.

The 1997 release wasn't a hit among critics either.

The first film received a score of 7.7 on IMDb, the second 6.8 - but the third scored a paltry 4.5.

But that hasn't put off Wan-Bissaka, who has been linked with a return to the Eagles after falling out out of favour at Old Trafford.

The now United right-back made the revelation while he was still at Palace, and one fan joked his film of choice was enough not to re-sign him.

They wrote on social media: "We shouldn't re-sign him for this alone. Awful shout."

Another quipped: "He has clearly not seen 1 and/or 2."

While a third hilariously pointed out: "At least it's not Home Alone 4."

Four years have passed since Wan-Bissaka originally revealed his favourite Christmas movie, so he may well have changed his mind since then.
