TYSON FURY wants to box 12 TIMES next year and copy the legendary Joe Louis by fighting "a bum a month".

Fury returns on Saturday at Tottenham's stadium in a trilogy bout against Derek Chisora, who he beat in 2011 and 2014.

But it is only his second bout of the year, after deciding against retirement having knocked out Dillian Whyte, 34, in April.

Fury, 34, wants to make up for lost time by sensationally boxing once a month in 2023, up and down the globe.

He told : “I can’t physically get all these men to fight.

"If they’re there to fight next year, then game on, but if not, then I’ll fight whoever.

"I can go on a bum a month campaign, like Joe Louis did, and just fight 12 bums. Wherever it is.

"Give a guy in Italy a chance, like Apollo did in Rocky, and bring something back to the game."

From 1940 to 1941, Louis took on a series of challengers which was later remembered as “The Bum Of The Month Club”.

Fury has previously revealed more modest plans to fight three times in 2023.

The last time he managed as many as four bouts in a calendar year dates back to 2011.

Fury suffered frustration at failing to land super-fights with Anthony Joshua, 33, and Oleksandr Usyk, 35, this year.

So he is willing to accept any and all comers in his quest to roll back the years.

Fury said: “I’m sick to death of trying to make these fights happen.

"I’ve got to live my life and I’m not going to live my life for anybody else.

"If you see me fighting the local binman next then be happy for me because I’m in a happy place.”
