FORMER World's Strongest Man Eddie Hall returned to competition for the first time in FIVE YEARS over the weekend.

The 34-year-old, who was crowned the World's Strongest Man in 2017, had taken a lengthy break from strongman events before he began training for a boxing match against Hafthor Bjornsson in Dubai earlier this year.

Hall lost the bout against "The Mountain" as he was beat up over six rounds before losing by unanimous decision.

Earlier this month, the Briton confirmed he had turned down big money offers to return to the ring.

And now he has gotten back to competing in his first love - strongman events - five years after retiring from the discipline to compete in lower-weight competitions.

It came at the World's Strongest Nation show at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool on Saturday, with Hall featuring for the UK team against the USA.

And he shared a couple of photos and a clip of the action on social media.

Hall, who recently shaved off his beard, also added the short caption: "First time Competing in over 5 YEARS! For the World's Strongest Nation show!🏆 Still got it 😉."

Bodybuilder Hall made around £1million for his fight with Bjornsson back in March.

But he recently claimed he does not expect to give boxing another crack despite attempts to lure him back to the sport.

He told : "I don't think so. Doing that fight with Thor was literally the sole reason, it was good timing for me.

"Covid had just kicked off, all the TV production stopped and then I got a contract under my nose for seven-figures to fight Thor.

"I've been offered more fights with some big names for big money and I'm just not interested.

"I can make more money doing what I do now and I enjoy what I do now, that's the important thing for me.

"I'm spending time with my wife and my son and I'm enjoying myself.

"Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed boxing but it's like with the strongman, you've got to be dedicated.

"From seven in the morning till 10 at night, you've got to be 100 per cent committed.

"I'm just at a point in my life where I want to relax a bit and spend time with my family a bit more."
