France dealt another crushing injury blow as Lucas Hernandez OUT of World Cup 2022 after ACL injury in Australia win
FRANCE star Lucas Hernandez has been ruled out of the rest of the World Cup after suffering a knee injury against Australia.
The Bayern Munich star played every minute of Les Bleus’ 2018 triumph, but will play no further part in Qatar.
That’s because the left-back ruptured his ACL in France’s opening game victory.
Hernandez was withdrawn after just 13 minutes and had to be replaced by his brother Theo.
It’s the latest in a list of setbacks for manager Didier Deschamps, who’s already lost Karim Benzema and Christopher Nkunku in recent days.
They are also without 2018 World Cup heroes N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba.
