Afterwards, CEO Giuseppe Marotta revealed exactly how much Dutch agent Raiola made, after confusion surrounding his cut.

Marotta said: "Pogba came from United for a price of around £1m.

“After four years with us he decided to return to England, he wanted to leave at all costs. Our asking price was £94m plus £4.5m in bonuses, which is payable if the player renews with United or leaves for a fee of more than £45m.

“That brings us to a capital gain in the budget of £85m. Mino Raiola and his company will be paid £24m. Taking fees into account, the total gain for Pogba was around £65m."

Marotta was then grilled about the level of the squad, with the director criticised for failing to replace Pogba.

He added: “We always aim for the maximum, conducting our transfer campaign to do as well as possible. We’re the undisputed League champions for the past five years.

“The Champions League is different, it’s not always the absolute best team that wins. We believe the squad we have is competitive."

So Juventus, and therefore maybe Raoila could make even MORE money from the French international, who has had a patchy start to life at Old Trafford.

With boss Jose Mourinho saying he expected more from his midfield star upon his return to Old Trafford, the bookies make it just 7/2 the world’s most expensive player is gone by next summer.

That could therefore benefit Juve, as if the Red Devils sell the midfielder for more than £45m, or he signs a contract extension with Man United, the Italians are entitled to an additional payment of a touch under £5m.

Raiola was instrumental in the summer of a number of transfers to Old Trafford aside from Pogba, in the form of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan - as well as Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli's move to Nice in France.
