GARY NEVILLE sent out a cheeky "world exclusive" tweet last night in a pop at Cristiano Ronaldo.

The outspoken Manchester United star was set to give his side of the story in the explosive first part of his TalkTV interview with SunSport columnist Piers Morgan.

Ronaldo has already hit out at the club and his manager in words that have left fans stunned.

But he has also found himself embroiled in a spat with a man he used to share a dressing room with.

The war of words between the pair has escalated in recent days as Ronaldo took aim at the former right-back.

The ex-Real Madrid man accused him of using his name to get attention and "take advantage" of his fame.

Neville took a fresh swipe back at the star on Wednesday night as he tweeted out "world exclusive" to his followers, minutes before the interview was set to air.

But the tweet in full read: "Tune in to a 'World Exclusive' at 8pm tonight.

"Salford City v Peterborough in the FACUP on ITV 4 channel 120."

Unfortunately for Neville, who part-owns the club, the Ammies lost 3-0 to the League 1 side.

It's just the latest dig the Sky Sports pundit has aimed at Ronaldo since he was dragged into this interview row.

Responding to Ronaldo's claim that he would not have dinner with Neville, the former defender tweeted sarcastically this week "anyone for dinner?"

The tension between Neville and Ronaldo began last month when the star refused to come off the bench against Tottenham and left for the tunnel before the final whistle.

Neville's criticism of the incident saw him be blanked by the star before United played against West Ham.

Wayne Rooney and Ralf Rangnick have been among the other people to face criticism from Ronaldo.
