Chelsea vs Manchester United: Jose Mourinho’s side fall behind just thirty seconds in on Special One’s return

A howler from David de Gea allowed Pedro to slot home after just 29 seconds at Stamford Bridge - before Gary Cahill put Chelsea two up

THIRTY seconds into Jose Mourinho's return to Stamford Bridge, his Manchester United team were already 1-0 down thanks to a howler from keeper David de Gea.

The Spanish goalkeeper ran out of his box to try and intercept a routine through ball, only to see winger Pedro round him and slot into an empty net - prompting Chelsea fans to sing "you're getting sacked in the morning" to the Special One.

It was Pedro's first Stamford Bridge goal since February and sparked jubilation - while Mourinho could only stand bemused in his technical area with his hands on his hips.

Before the match he was all smiles with his former players and backroom staff, chatting away to the likes of John Terry, former assistant Steve Holland and Willian.

But that was truly wiped away after 21 minutes when Gary Cahill smashed home from a corner to extend Chelsea's lead - with United's defence all at sea.

Here is some of the best Twitter reaction to a rough opening few minutes for Mourinho and Manchester United.....

Meanwhile, this 2012 post from Wayne Rooney is currently being  retweeted a lot of times in the past 45 minutes - he probably regrets posting it now:
