HART ATTACK

Celtic ‘keeper Joe Hart teased by fans for tumbling to floor after ‘brutal knockout’ in win over Motherwell

CELTIC keeper Joe Hart has been ribbed by rival fans after collapsing to the ground in the Hoops' win over Motherwell.

Hart came flying out to the edge of his area to try and claim possession with the ball in the air, but he couldn't grasp it and the ball broke away from him towards Kevin van Veen.

The former England stopper quickly got himself back on his feet and began to jog backwards as van Veen blazed over.

On his retreat, he bumped into Well defender Solholm before collapsing to the floor.

Van Veen blazed the ball over the bar and the Hoops medical team raced on to the pitch.

There certainly didn't appear to be much in it, and fans were quick to poke fun at the Celtic 'keeper on social media.

One fan said: "He flapped at the cross was out of position and moved into the geezers armpit, saw he was struggling and couldn’t make a save so went down and feigned an injury."

Another ripped into the Hoops 'keeper, saying: "Joe Hart brutally knocked out in today's Celtic v Motherwell clash. Not for the faint hearted."

A third fan quipped: "Anyone know how long Joe Hart is out for?"

While another said: "It is absolutely 100 per cent embarrassing - but it's also fairly genius."

The 35-year old was in thick of the action as Celtic secured what was a hard fought 2-1 win over the Steelmen.

Kyogo had given the Hoops the lead before a calamitous misunderstanding between Hart and Josip Juranovic saw the Croatian score a comical own goal.

A stunning second half strike from Reo Hatate proved to be the match winner for Celtic who held on despite Callum McGregor's late red card.
