GARY NEVILLE wants the Liverpool scarf that was buried under his swimming pool burned if it is ever found.
The former Manchester United right-back is even willing to write the request in to his will to ensure that nothing of any relevance to his rival club is ever associated with him.
Writing for his column in the Neville said: ''There's a bit of folklore about two Scouse brothers who were doing work on my house a few years back.
''The story goes the brothers buried a Liverpool scarf underneath the tiles of my swimming pool. It's something that's never been proven and probably never will be.'
''I don't even live in that house any more, but I'm going to put it in my will that if anybody ever finds that bloody scarf, they must follow my final wish — burn it.''
Neville used to go to war with Liverpool alongside the likes of Roy Keane, Paul Scholes and Rio Ferdinand and was forever on edge in order to be fully committed in beating the Merseysiders.
The ex-Valencia manager has even in the past expressed his hate for Liverpool although admitting in his retirement that has mellowed some what but he is still eager for his old club to win tonight in order to stay in the race for the Premier League title.
Neville's infamous celebration in front of Liverpool fans in 2006 is still a topic regularly bought up when football discussions head down the road of Liverpool vs Man United.

Neville said: ''Whenever I'm asked if I'm sorry for celebrating in front of the Liverpool fans back in 2006, my answer is the same every time: of course not.''
