  • That's all from Qatar!

Morocco and Croatia played perhaps the most hapless goalless draw so far in the 2022 World Cup at the Al Bayt Stadium.

The 2018 World Cup finalists failed to replicate their performances from four years ago when they eliminated England from the semi-finals.

But Zlatko Dalic’s men came the closest to a goal on 45 minutes when Borna Sosa delivered a low cross from the left and Nikola Vlasic got a sliding shot that was denied by a stunning save by Yassine Bounou.

A good point for Morocco but Croatia may have needed the full three points in a group that also includes Canada and one of the World Cup’s favourites Belgium

  • Gvardiol's major milestone

RB Leipzig ace Josko Gvardiol also made history for Croatia along with star team-mate Luka Modric.

Gvardiol is now the second youngest player to start a World Cup match for his national team.

The centre-back started against Morocco at the age of 20 years and 304 days.

The Premier League target is only behind Chelsea ace Mateo Kovacic, who started in 2014 against Brazil at the age of 20years and 37days

Croatia captain and Real Madrid superstar Luka Modric continued to make history at the 2022 World Cup.
