SFA and SPFL invite clubs to play the National Anthem as well as hold ‘period of silence’ for the Queen ahead of matches
THE SPFL and the SFA have given clubs multiple options for them to choose from to pay their respects to The Queen before games this weekend.
Scottish football will return in full this weekend coming.
Matches across the country were cancelled on Friday until further notice as the UK entered a period of national mourning following The Queen's passing.
Her Majesty sadly died on Thursday at Balmoral, aged 96.
Now our game's governing bodies have revealed plans of how to honour her death have been left up to individual clubs.
It's been suggested that clubs may wish to play the National Anthem before kick-off, or hold a more traditional minute's silence.
Players will also be invited to wear black armbands.
A said: "Following confirmation of the postponement of all fixtures in the professional game across Scotland last weekend as a mark of respect for the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, we can confirm the intention for the professional game to resume as normal.
"Fixtures will go ahead, subject to Police Scotland resourcing, with the caveat that any fixtures under the professional banner be rescheduled if they fall on Monday September 19, the day of Her Majesty’s funeral.
"This week, as a mark of respect and in keeping with the period of National Mourning, home clubs may wish to hold a period of silence and/or play the National Anthem just ahead of kick-off, and players may wish to wear black armbands.

"We thank clubs and league organisations for the mark of respect shown at the weekend and for their efforts in resuming the professional game fixture schedule."
Hearts' match against Istanbul Başakşehir in the Europa Conference League saw the first minute's silence to mark The Queen's death.
However it was marred by boos and jeers from sections of the Tynecastle crowd and the Edinburgh club issued an apology that also criticised their own supporters' actions.
Rangers, Celtic and Hearts all have matches lined up in European competition this week, before they return to domestic action.
Gers are due to host face Napoli (24 hours later than originally planned) while Celtic travel to face Shakhtar Donetsk in Poland, with the Ukrainian side still playing on neutral ground because of the Russian invasion.
Hearts meanwhile will head to Latvia to face RFS in Riga.
