Conor McGregor slams ‘ham head’ Nate Diaz after UFC star ridicules rival’s boxing move as he plots his own sport change
CONOR MCGREGOR furiously hit back at "ham head" Nate Diaz after the UFC favourite mocked the Irishman's brief boxing career.
The duo shared two epic battles in 2016 before the Notorious temporarily switched to boxing to fight Floyd Mayweather.
McGregor, 34, pocketed over £100million from the bout - despite losing by tenth round TKO.
After beating Tony Ferguson in the final fight of his UFC contract last night, Diaz vowed to "take over" boxing in a way that his old rival couldn't.
In his octagon interview with Joe Rogan, the Stockton star said: "I want to get out of the UFC for a little bit and show all these UFC fighters how to takeover and own up another sport how you're supposed to do it.
"Because Conor McGregor didn't know how to do it and none of these other fighters know how to do it.

"So I'm gonna go out there and take over another profession and become the best at that. Show everyone I'm the best at that.
"Boxing, kickboxing, jiu-jitsu, other MMA organisations... If you think you're the top, creme de la creme right here, baby. I'm coming for you."
McGregor didn't take kindly to the comments, tweeting in response: "Ah come on bro I’m absolutely stinking. And with so much quality.
"This has never been seen before what I’m doing man. Please, Your nothing with out me.

"Respect, please. I’d slap you around handy. And Tony easy. I’d have sawed Tony in half. 2 ham ball heads.
"Respect the king."
Diaz defeated Ferguson, 38, via a fourth round guillotine choke to hand El Cucuy his fifth consecutive defeat.
He had been due to face Khamzat Chimaev in the final fight of his UFC contract, only for the Swede to dramatically miss weight by 7.5lbs.
Khamzat instead fought Kevin Holland in a catchweight bout, mauling the American in under three minutes to move to 12-0.
McGregor, meanwhile, had been complimentary to his old rival Diaz prior to last night's fights.
He tweeted: "Congrats Nate Diaz on making it to the end of his contractual obligations with the UFC, and as a bonafide superstar goer.
"An incredible feat. Fair play.
"Our trilogy will happen."
He was unimpressed with Khamzat, however, adding: "My opinion they should have pulled Khamzat from the card entirely.

"Reconfiguring bouts, and with a more favourable bout for the failed cutter, will only make many others in the game follow suit.
"The smirks on the scale where enough for me. Pull from the card and starve. McG UFC."
