A NEW documentary will chart the rise of darts from its pub beginnings to becoming one of the most popular sports in the UK.
House of Flying Arrows will tell the tale of how the sport has fought against the odds to enjoy sell-out crowds and record revenue in recent years.
The new documentary is from the same team that produced Manchester United doc the Class of '92.
Despite barely changing its format since it was a popular pub game in the 19th century, darts is now one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK.
How did that happen?
Thousands of spectators cram into arenas to watch men throw tiny arrows at a tiny board that measures just 18 inches in diameter from 10 feet away.
Watching live you can barely see the board with the naked eye.
