"Erik (ten Hag) sent me a message, yes. To congratulate me, and to tell me that he would like to have me there in Manchester," he said.
"But I'm not done at Ajax yet, I want to show something here first."
Brobbey has already hit the ground running in Amersterdam this season too, scoring two goals and contributing a further two assists in the opening five games.
The striker is actually yet another product off of the Ajax conveyor belt, but RB Leipzig snapped him up as a teenager in 2021 before loaning him back to Ajax again for the season.

They then completed the cycle by selling Brobbey back to Ajax.
After the departures of a number of Ajax stars, including Ryan Gravenberch to Bayern Munich, Sebastien Haller to Borussia Dortmund, and Lisandro Martinez and Antony to United, Brobbey has been afforded an excellent opportunity to establish himself.
And if he and Ten Hag both get their respective wishes a transfer could well materialise by next summer.
