AJAX have BLOCKED Edson Alvarez's attempt to seal a deadline-day move to Chelsea.
Chelsea turned their attention to signing the defensive midfielder after their pursuit of PSV ace Ibrahim Sangare fell flat.
Alvarez SKIPPED training on Thursday in an attempt to force through a last-ditch £43million move to West London.
But according to Dutch newspaper , the Ajax brass have refused to sell the 24-year-old.
Technical director Gerry Hamstra is said to have ruled out the sale due to the Dutch transfer window being closed.
Alvarez was hopeful the club would entertain Chelsea's offer so he could fulfil his "dream" move.

Schreuder said of Antony's refusal to play: "I don’t think it’s good that it’s possible within our club.
"If you’re Ajax, it’s just bad that this happens.
