‘Tuchel’s a destroyer of players’ – Pulisic’s dad likes tweet slamming Chelsea boss amid Man Utd transfer links

CHRISTIAN PULISIC'S dad liked a tweet ripping into Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel amid speculation over his son's future at the club.

The Blues were hammered 3-0 by Leeds at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon as the West London outfit suffered their first Premier League defeat of the season.

Pulisic, who has been linked with a loan move to Manchester United, came off the bench in the 64th minute with the score at 2-0.

And the American's father Mark liked a post after the match which criticised Tuchel's treatment of his son.

The read: "Chelsea needs a confident Pulisic. Tuchel is a destroyer of players and of team dynamics.

"Without the ability to build and inspire them, he is only left to discard what he has broken and buy new to only rinse and repeat."

That wasn't the only eyebrow-raising tweet he liked either.

He agreed with one fan who called for Tuchel to trust Pulisic as much as Kai Havertz and Mason Mount.

That one read: "If you give Pulisic the benefit of the doubt and start him as consistently as you do Havertz/Mount you'll be rewarded with quality football and GOALS. This is facts."

While another person received a like from the Chelsea star's dad after posting: "If Pulisic doesn't get the start vs West Ham [actually Leicester] next week he needs to go for his own good.

"We've seen enough of Kai and Mount to start the season."

Pulisic has been used as an impact substitute in each of Chelsea's three Prem games so far at the beginning of the campaign.

The links to Man Utd were reportedly put on ice at the weekend as the USA international is thought to want Champions League football - something the Red Devils cannot offer.

But the social media activity from his dad will not please Tuchel, something the Blues boss also had to deal with last season.

Back in May, he tweeted and then deleted a post which said: "The sad thing is he [Pulisic] loves the club, teammates, and London... puts his heart and soul into being a pro.

"Onwards and upwards my boy... big six months ahead.";

Tuchel responded to the post by saying: "I am not concerned if a father says that a player does not love me.

"It is a normal thing [if players are frustrated]. Like every manager, we have our reasons to choose lineups and we have our reasons to go for players in the first XI.

"And you will never see at this level of competition happy faces from players who are not selected.

"Am I always right? For sure not. Is it always fair? For sure not. But this is what you sign up for in a club like Chelsea."
