The report that chief executive Richard Arnold and football director John Murtough are now "wrestling" with what to do ahead of the transfer deadline.

Chelsea and Bayern Munich have both ended their respective interests in Ronaldo, although Atletico Madrid may still be keen.
Despite a fan backlash against the potential signing, Atleti are reportedly willing to offer Alvaro Morata or Antoine Griezmann in exchange for Ronaldo.
