But the deal is being held up as Man Utd have not been able to agree personal terms with the Frenchman.

United were beaten 2-1 at home by Brighton on the opening weekend of the Premier League season.

And their midfield pair of Scott McTominay and Fred were criticised for their performances.

However, data from the previous two campaigns shows that Rabiot has had less of an impact at Juventus than McTominay and Fred have had at Old Trafford.

He has managed fewer goals, chances created, passes, touches and possessions won since September 2020.

They are damning statistics which prove why United supporters are concerned by his arrival at the club - should personal terms be agreed.
